What’s the Gospel anyway?
This post is for those like “B Is For Beyotch” who are constantly around Christians and still haven’t heard the gospel. That’s a ridiculous situation that happens way to often.
The Gospel:
Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
—so, all are people have an equal inability to meet God’s level of perfection
Romans 6:23 “the wages of sin is death, but the FREE gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
—meaning we earned death, but don’t have to earn God’s love or His gift of eternal life.
Death= both physical death (every human dies), and spiritual separation from God the source of life
Life=reuniting with the source of life (God)
Romans 5:8 “but God shows His great love for us in this, while we were still sinners Christ died for us”
—meaning we don’t have to get our lives together or become “good” (w/e that means) first
Romans10:9-10 “because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
—believe= faith (trusting the unseen, the hard to rationalize with our brains, the difficult to understand)…… confess= an outward expression of your belief (unashamed)
Romans 8:1-2 “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free from the law of sin and death.”
—Celebrate! because it says “now,” meaning at the very moment of your faith, you are reunited into a relationship with God your Father
